The Original Raj Hotel, Edinburgh, Scotland

The Original Raj Hotel in Edinburgh was the UK's first Indian themed hotel when it opened in Spring 2000. The hotel aims to conjure up the images of elegance and opulence of days gone by and includes furnishings of Indian hardwood, handmade in Jaipur from recycled Australian railway sleepers. The Original Raj Hotel in Scotland is owned by celebrity chef and entrepreneur Tommy Miah, who after its success also build the Tommy Miah's Raj Hotel in London.

The Original Raj Hotel is based in a Victorian house between Murrayfield and Haymarket train station between the centre of Edinburgh and Edinburgh airport. The Original Raj Hotel is ideally located for visiting the centre of Edinburgh and as a base for exploring Scotland.
